URBAN R&D: Developing a Community Research and Design Lab Workshop

This event offers an in-depth discussion about developing a DC based community research and design lab. The proposed lab will include 3-D printers, laser cutters and other expensive machinery available to the public through an affordable membership to promote innovation and creativity in our nation's capital. The mission is to create a space that allows designers to take risks while being a hub of interactive and creative dialog. We will explore the steps needed to successfully implement this idea and actively incorporate participation from the public.
