Georgia Avenue Winter Festival

The Placemaking Committee, part of the Georgia Avenue/Lamont Street Safety Taskforce, in partnership with the Georgia Avenue Community Development Task Force is hosting the Georgia Avenue Winter Festival from 11am-4pm on Saturday December 5 at 3400 Georgia Avenue NW (the former Murray’s Grocery). This event will showcase to the community the wonderful work of artists, businesses and organizations in Park View and along Georgia Avenue. We’ll have vendors selling food and arts & crafts, art displays, performances and demos, a kid’s corner with craft making and other activities, info tabling and Christmas tree sales.  If you’d like to attend, formal publicity will be coming out soon. If you’d like to participate or contribute in some way, here are the options below:

Performances and Demos: These will take place from 12-3pm.

Vendors: If you’d like to sell or give samples of food, arts & crafts, or other items we’ll have an area set up for the length of the event.

Art Display: We’ve got lots of great space to work with!

Info Tabling: We’ll have an area set up for the length of the event for businesses and organization to table.

Children’s Activities: Do you have fun activities for kids you’d like to share? Let us know! We’ll have a kids’ corner set up for the length of the event.

Donate: We’re accepting cash and in-kind donations. Many of the in-kind donations would be for use just for the weekend. If you’d like to donate cash, you can make a tax-deductible donation to the Emergence Community Arts Collective, as a fiscal sponsor to the GACDTF, for this event.  Additionally if you can provide any of the below items please let us know:
