The NoMa (north of Massachusetts Avenue) Business Improvement District (BID) will host a summer-long James Bond Film Festival from May 8 through Aug. 28, 2008. Free and open to the public, the outdoor festival will feature 16 of the best Bond flicks from 1962 through 2006. Each film showing will be preceded by a look-alike contest inspired by "Oddjob," a popular henchman from 1964's Goldfinger. The Bond films will be shown each Thursday night beginning at dusk, rain or shine, outdoors at the intersection of Florida and New York Avenues, N.E., which is within walking distance of the Artomatic 2008 building. For a schedule of movies, visit www.nomabid.org. | | |
