As part of a series of sculptures that celebrate the four seasons, "Spring" is about the melting of winter and its golden time of new birth. In this work, a clear resin snowflake melts into a dancing figure inside a form of a drum. The melting figure drips into flowing water, making up the bottom of the drum. I was thinking that the sound of this season could be best captured by a drum form.
