About the Process...People often ask me upon seeing my work where I get my inspiration, whether or not I have an idea before I begin. Sometimes I have a specific inspiration and sometimes I don’t- the important part for me is simply to begin. I like to begin where I am, mentally and physically. After the start of a new piece, I will often times go through all the items I have collected- things that have caught my eye due to color, texture, image – then I include them, or don’t include them. The important part is to jog my creativity with all the possibilities.
