In its former life, Untied was a decorative hanging with painted glass in the center. In an unfortunate circumstance, the glass broke and I was forced to let my vision expand. I looked through the items I had on hand and had the idea of mending its frame with woven silk neckties. Through accepting and respecting my process, a new form emerged.
