Twenty Eight Year (28)verteran Dj Representing DC/VA scene... Hailing From Chicago (Chi-Town), 1SmoothDj Marv come from a strong lineage of Chicago DJ/Disco legends. At a very early age he was responsible for providing daily music for his classmates as early as 3rd grade!!! While other kids were outside playing he was listening to relatives record collections of 45's, LP's & 78's. Chicago Radio was also huge influence from childhood into early adulthood,which eventually lead to clubbing at some of Chicago's most famous underground parties. 1SmoothDj Marv exercised his craft by practicing (8+ hours a day) playing/mixing Disco, Funk, R&B and Euro. It was a given that 1SmoothDj Marv would become well known for his intense and passionate deck skills as he started landing dj gigs at house parties, block parties, sock hops, bowling alley, neighborhood bar/spaces & eventually clubs. [Fast Forward] 1SmoothDj Marv no stranger to the DC scene by any means has played along side some of House Music well known Dj/producers and respected legends like... LiL Louis, Farley JackMaster Funk, Frankie Knuckles, Tony Humphries, Dj Mandrill, Teddy Douglas, Dj Spen, Doug Smith (95 North), Mark Grant, Lady D, Karizma, Sam Burns, Deep Dish, Doc Martin, Dj Cameron, Master Kev, Curtis Lee, Dj Pope/Oji, Dj Baby, Taha, Deesko & Stevie G to name but a few! 1999 -2001... He was one of the 1st set of DC Dj's to host Internet Mix Show before it became what it is today! His show "Club w/o Walls" was a hit on the now defunct site Capitol Vibes. He has held residencies at some of Washington's DC's famous Dance Clubs & Bars! Marv spins house like no one else does with new releases, unreleased tracks, & classics for yours truly....
