TreasurePostcards by Arts for Global Development, Inc. is an international project that brings emerging and professional artists from across the globe together to visually express concerns on social and economic issues with postcard sized artworks. It is an educational/informative medium that not only helps artists gain visibility through their individual works and shares their creative ambitions, but primarily creates awareness on women’s issues, provokes thoughts, inspires, and helps raise funds for charitable causes. The TreasurePostcards presentation highlights some of this year's artworks, artists and their stories in a slideshow and gives an opportunity for local artists to talk about their experiences and creative social efforts: Come and meet local participating artists Helina Metaferia, Holly Stone, Patricia Correa, Patricia Ortman, and Sally Tsou. This session is moderated by Nil Sismanyazici-Navaie, Founding Director of Arts for Global Development. Select TreasurePostcards arttworks, especially prints and photographs, will be available for sales. The sales proceeds are donated to the Brighter Tomorrow for Africa Foundation.
