This is one of a trilogy of Pittsburgh bridges; it connects downtown to the Andy Warhol museum. Based on a couple of photographs it says a lot about the artist, Michael Kent: a tormented latter-day romantic, searching, probing, never quite finding nor wanting to find. The misty day lent itself to a style not characteristically impressionistic, yet gritty, capturing a certain mood rather than attemtping some slavish or pretty rendition of reality. Bleak in some ways, a dose of humor is injected via the written word.
