Performing Artist Guide
Artomatic is a multi-disciplinary arts extravaganza with performances scheduled daily during the month-long show.
Musical performances range from electronic music to jazz and include classical, hip hop, rock, pop, goth, alternative, solo acoustic, gospel, experimental and more.
The types of dance are equally diverse, including Brazilian, Indian and Indonesian performances, belly dancing, modern dance, tap, and step dancing. Artomatic also features poetry & spoken word performances, DJs, comedy, cabaret & more-- we are what the performers make of it!
Artomatic is not juried. That is, participation is based on a first-come, first-served basis and no one needs to see or hear your performance in advance. It’s open to all artists 18 and older.
Getting Started
Before you begin your Artomatic registration, please take a moment to read these guidelines so you understand how the process works and make sure you complete all of the necessary steps. In an effort to ease the registration process, we have tried to separate the steps into On-Line Registration and Booking (and paying a $10 equipment administration fee).
Many of the steps must be completed on-line. Every performing artist must book their performance to complete registration.
You must complete both Parts I & II of the registration process in order to participate in Artomatic.
Performance Registration Commitment
Pay a $10 equipment administration fee
Schedule one participation shift to help stage Artomatic. You can do this through your dashboard once you create an account.
Please perform and volunteer on different nights. Your volunteer shift is highly likely to put you elsewhere at the event (we have nearly a quarter million square feet of space). If you are a touring performer, please alert your venue manager after registering.

Performers will generally be booked on evenings each day the event is open until half an hour before the event closes.
Part I: Online registration
Registration is online only. Deadline: Open until filled.
All Artomatic Performing Arts participants must:
Read and accept the Terms and Conditions.
Choose at least one participation shift for each performing group.
Book your performance and pay a $10 equipment administration fee online. DO NOT MAIL PAYMENT
Create an Artist Catalogue, including your real name and working phone numbers and email address.
Supply a valid e-mail address to receive an E-mail Confirmation Receipt with the subject line, Important Information for Participating in Artomatic which will include information on booking your performance. Please look for the Important Information for Performing Artist section. You will also be able to locate this E-mail on My Dashboard using the My Messages link on the right menu block.

Part II: Booking
Artomatic will have the following venues:
- Main Stage (Electric, louder acts)
- Cherry Smash Stage (Smaller acts, quieter sound, not as much power, stage size, or audience area needed)
- Orleans Stage (Burlesque, Poetry, speakeasy, drama, comedy-improvisations, mime, cirque arts, magic, and music)
- Lamplighter Stage (classical or acoustic, solo, duo, trios)
- People's Stage (mobile setup used indoors/outdoors -- special events, DJ space)
- Dance Stage (dance)
- Carl Cordell Theater (film and video)
- An outdoor area for Fire Performers and Special Events
Your point of contact Artomatic booking agent will assist you in selecting the right resource and time for you. Acts are booked on a first come, first serve basis, so register now! The booking agents will receive a copy of your registration.
Note: Please be patient and send only one e-mail to get booked. Be prepared to wait up to a week before receiving a response. Our bookers are hard at work processing everyone's performances.
