For as long as I can remember, I have been interested in art and design. Ever since my childhood, I have always found myself drawing or doodling. I discovered the world of fine arts and photography when I got older. I dove in head first and haven't looked back.

Not only do I enjoy using a selection of modern cameras (a digital SLR, a 35mm, and a Holga to name a few), but I also am an avid collector of vintage cameras. My collection of Polaroid cameras stands out by far as the largest in my collection. My mother's first camera was a Polaroid, which my family has used for as long as I can remember. Hundreds of my family's memories have been recorded on Polaroid film. One day, my father gave me my mother's Polaroid camera, along with the original packaging and receipt. To this day, this is one of the greatest gifts my father has given me. That camera is the prize of my camera collection. He knew that I would cherish it forever; he also knew that I had a sense for seeing the world in a different perspective. He wanted me to capture as much as possible in this brief bit of time we all have. My Father is my inspiration.

Years ago, I discovered the technique of taking a fresh photograph with Polaroid film, peeling apart the film, and transferring the image off of the film onto another receptor surface, such as paper. It was then that I realized I could take a family pastime and evolve it into something of my own.
