Greetings everyone... Yesterdays Vendor Sale was a huge Sucess.... Many thanks to Tammy V. for all the hard work she put into it.

Not only did the Vendors have a good time but also the guests who came to browse and buy.

I hope this is a continuing event for Artomatic.

The other thing is i want to tahnk all the other artists i met yesterday...
Esp. Annie Lunsford, and Ann, who were my neighbors, they are great, please check out their space as well on the 5th Floor... right down the aisle from me.

Tonite @ 6pm UNINTERRUPTED preforms LIVE @ Artomatic My friend Moon whom i work with during the day will be preforming with this ensamble, I hope you get a chance to check it out as well.

well have just gotten home from Artomatic....and all i can say is WOW...

My friend Carols drum troupe "Batala" was so GREAT... they entertained everyone...

and Brenda Sylvia's "Flights of Fire" group was so amazing as well.

if you get a chance to see either preform i know u will enjoy them...

YIKES I can't belive it been so long since i have posted.... just been to busy during the days...

Just a couple of items here..
My friends...Carol Holmes...and Brenda Sylvia will both be preforming tonite.....

outside.... AT 9:00 PM hope you can make the show...
Carol's troupe is women's brazilian drum corp. while Brenda Flights of Fire will be preforming... so come check them out for an amazing nite....

Also tomorrow is the Vendor Sale @ Artomatic...in the Caberet Room 1st floor from noon till 5pm ...
so come on down.check it out..who knows you may find something you really want....i will have a small space... :) well we all will really :) 6x4 but it works for me......:)

One more note on entertainment....
another friend of mine for my day job will be preforming Sunday nite. Her dance troupe is called "Uninterrupted" on Sunday June 8th @ 6p.m
I hope you get a chance to check her out as well...

Greetings to you all...it's the Holiday and Artomatic takes a rest today and tomorrow, tuesday may 27th, but will back UP and running on Wenesday the 28th. Hope you and your friends have a gotten a chance to come by......but if not... you still have till the 15th of June...and remember we are open till 2 a.m. fridays and saturdays.
I hope you all take a moment to remember our veterans on this day for with out them we would not have the voices and choices that we have in America today, they deserve our respect and thanks. Have a great Holiday everyone...A

WOW.... what a great evening for me....met so many guests... did lots of promo.not only for myself but for my other artist friends there.... Got to catch my friend Brenda Sylvia, and Flights of Fire..... the troupe is AMAZING... when you get the chance you really should see them....they preform every so often @ the Palace of Wonders in N.E. DC....

Have had a busy week since my last blog....
Went in Sat. eve for a little bit.....nice crowd....
went back sunday after 4pm had a guest from out of town....california...he couldn't believe all the wonderful art in one bldg.
Again i can't thank all my friends enough who have come by my space...

Artomatic opened tonite....boy was it fun and wild.
alot of my friends and associates stopped by enjoyed my views...and wished me well...and i can't thank them all enough.
My new friends Juan n Niki had a rough early evening only because of electrical problems,but they were fixed later in the evening so that everyone could enjoy their work in the light.
Brenda, and Kim both stopped by as well....they are such wild women...
Had a small section set up for kids to make masks, out of paper plates....they enjoyed it as well. Will try to have it out every time im there.
well time to hit the hay ...another day tomorrow..... oh btw a shout out to my friend Christie who is on floor #9...... she remembered me from Pershing Park Arts....it was good to meet up with you again.

Well it's finally done and ready to go. tired and exhausted..but it has all been worth it. Alot of my friends have already come by to check out the space, and their comments were Good....can't wait to say hi to alot of you when you come by... see you friday nite....A

Have been installing the last five days almost done... have met some great artists while there esp on my floor....Sajeela an Erik Ramsey, Susan Holland,and Jaun of antroart.com Hope you get a chance to meet them all...see you soon...A

Last year while @ Artomatic I met Kim Reyes, Kim does ceramic works, Raku Style, I was most impressed with her Torso's , male and female, beautiful and stunning.
She too exhibited @ Pershing Park Arts and i can't thank her enough if you get a chance please stop by and see her works.

Still working on my installation.... should be done by tuesday....

I know this is late .....and im burning the midnite oil.. started to install this evening..
with my BEST FRIEND SAL,,aka Chris... he has been so much help through this whole thing with me.. from bush wacking for branches for me, to helping me spray my accessories for this show.... Even helping me deliver and set up. He's just one of the best people i know. and i hope your path will cross with his sometime.
Ready to do more installing tomorrow friday after my day job. also got to see the lighting after dusk in the Bldg. tonite the lighting and views are great.. and i hope you think so as well...

I met Brenda last year at Artomatic. Her works of landscape paintings and her woven sculptures called "Urban Streams" amazed me. I asked if she would be willing to hang some of her works in the National Park that i was involved with. She came to check it out and low and behold I had a 6ft "Urban Stream" Hanging in the center of my "kiosk" it was beautiful, esp when the sun hit it. Along with half a dozen of her beautiful and colorful paintings.
But art is only one of Brenda's many facets, she also conducts a fire dancing troupe called "Flights of Fire" who have preformed at the new theater in N.E. DC call "Palace of Wonders".
She and her group will be preforming opening nite @ Artomatic from 9pm to 10:30 pm in the parking lot, not only do i hope you catch her act in the lot, but i also hope you get a chance to see her art work hanging here at Artomatic. See you soon.

I met Michelle last year at Artomatic and asked if she would be interested in showing @ Pershing Park, she graciously accepted and we were so glad she did. Michelle many thanks to you and i look forward to seeing you there.

Last yearI managed a mid sized artist market for the company I work for Guest Services Inc. Called Arts in Pershing Park. It lasted a full summer season and was located right in the heart of the Nation's Capital on 14th and Penn. Ave. right across the the famous Willard Hotel.
We would host 10 artists one weekend a month Friday, Saturday, and Sunday on the Second weekend of each month.
I met several artists @ Artomatic last year in Pentagon City, and asked if they might be interested in showing in the Park. The response was great and I can't thank them enough. As you know the weather can never really be predicted so you must go with the flow even when it rains, and let me tell you we had some of the best.
In the next blog I will mention who I met and I hope you get a chance to see them here @ Artomatic.

Had a great day at work today...passed out more of my invites....Chatted with alot of guests @ the Cyber Cafe space where I work...and I do enjoy every one so.Even made some bread pudding 2 types, raison, and bannanna, both with a carmel sauce. Have i mentioned i like to eat...I work for FOOD....:)
In the next couple of days i'll be mentioning some of the Artists I have met through Artomatic, and give U a bit more background about myself.
will try to get some pix up as well.
