I dip a toe into the stream of consciousness while keeping an eye on the formalities of poetry. I believe, as I have learned from Heather McHugh, that, "a linear poem is attracted to its own extinction." I also believe that if You don't get any of it, I haven't done my part.
I might also throw in a story because, well, I can. And besides, who doesn't like a good story.
