In my paintings I prefer to use impressions and methods that I come by during trips to other places. Trying to translate this experience through painting is an exciting process.
When I transfer my impressions to canvas, to enhance visual effect and create a mood I alter the shape and colors of objects in the picture. I find a type of visual language that helps me to create that spirit.
To change the shapes I use a Kaleidoscope effect, that is I break the object forms into smaller elements drawn in bright, saturated colors.
In the result the painting looks surrealistic even though it has realistic roots.
