A Murder of Crows
The crows came in ones and twos, gathering slowly at first. Cawing encouragement for others to join and conspire. Soon the dark chattering felt uneasy to the onlooker – human and beast. An uncommon occurrence to be sure, but it was the topic of conversation that worried, chilled. Then by some silent signal they disbursed – each alone, together a murder.
