The name of my exhibit for Artomatic 2012 is "CoMix!". CoMix! brings together comic books throughout the Ages, but in collage form. Included will be comic book characters that everyone is familiar with like The Avengers and X-Men-- as well as characters that not everybody is familiar with like Tony Chu and Denny Colt.
Comic books have been increasing in popularity over the last couple of years so I found it appropriate to display my Comic collages at this year's Artomatic. All of the original work on display is available for sale as well as prints of the collages.

At this year's Artomatic I will be showing my collages that I have been working on over the last year. Previously, I was working strictly on canvas with bright acrylic colors, beads, and perfectly angled lines. This year, I will be showing my new work called "CoMix". With the popularity that comic books have been receiving over the last couple of years, I figured it would be appropriate to concentrate on those pieces of my art for Artomatic 2012.
Since Artomatic 2009....I have gotten married, changed my last name, and became a mother to a fat cat named Jabba. This Artomatic is dedicated to Mike for forcing me to grow and continue on with my art no matter how busy my schedule is.

What is original about my collages is that each collage depicts one specific issue. I do not combine issues in my collages which is also still helps tell the story of that issue in a 2 second viewing version.
