Rachel Cohen
Born in Washington, DC and residing in Germantown, MD, I am currently a student at the University of Hartford, where I am working towards getting my BFA in Illustration with a minor in Printmaking. My favourite mediums for Illustration are acrylic inks, watercolours, Copic markers, & digital vector art. In Printmaking I love to work with linoleum relief/linocuts & monotype.
I am an ice hockey fanatic, and illustrate for the blog "Russian Machine Never Breaks," which focuses of the Washington Capitals NHL team. Let's go Caps! This love of hockey has driven me to a passion in the subject of sports illustration. I love to draw & paint my favourite players, and I am currently working on a series of linocut prints that are based on the design, art, and history of the goalie mask.
I also have a passion for comic & fantasy art. I love creating my own original creatures and characters! One of my life goals as an artist is to complete my very own original series of comics or graphic novels.
