Asala’s shows are entirely improvised, so each show is unique and catered to the audience. Various props will be incorporated such as LED wings, sword, veils, and cane.
Originally from upstate New York, Asala grew up playing team sports, riding horses, acting/singing in musicals and choir, and playing flute and saxophone. During her college career, she discovered a new extracurrricular activity and passion: dance. She studied a variety of dance styles including belly dance, salsa, swing, and modern dance. Asala has been performing Egyptian style belly dance and other cultural dances in the DC area since 2007 at festivals, embassies, weddings, etc. and alongside famous acts such as Lebanese star Ragheb Alama and British pop star Thomas Dolby.
